After breakfast transfer to Jerash, enjoy a tour of the Roman City of Jerash, Jerash is one of the most favorite tourist destinations in Jordan. The ancient city of Jerash has been inhabited for more than 6,500 years, coming under Roman rule in 63BC. It is known to be one of the best-preserved Roman town's in the world, and was hidden for hundreds of years before being recently re-discovered. It features a beautiful blend of Roman and Middle Eastern architectures. The ancient and modern cities are located directly beside each other, separated only by a wall. Jerash is located about 30 miles north of the capital Amman, and the ruins of the old city have been very carefully preserved to avoid damage and show authenticity. Some interesting sights to see include the hippodrome, a partially restored Roman-era stadium, the Temple of Artemis, which was dedicated to the patron goddess of the city, and the Jerash Archeological Museum, which features found during the excavation of the ancient city. About 10 miles away is Ajlun Castle, located on the top of a mountain.
